Born in Russia, where he was classically trained for some time, it was
his experience at the legendary Twilo that led Serge Devant on the
patch to eventually become one of the youngest resident dj’s at New
York’s Crobar in 2005 and hit the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 List the
following year. His many releases include his first hit single
“Transparent” with trance diva Jan Johnston, remixes for Tilt and
Lustral under the well respected UK Label Lost Language, a 3 disc
compilation titled Exhibition 3 .
His current rework of the classic club anthem “Sweet Harmony” was just
chosen by Pete Tong as an Essential Selection on his weekly BBC Radio
One show. Pete’s show is the top rated dance program in the UK..
Serge’s yet to be released song “Peace” has been selected by Coca Cola
for worldwide promotions in connection with the 2008 Olympic Games in
Beijing, China. Serge’s name will appear on limited edition Coca Cola
bottle for worldwide release and he will be participating in the
festivities surrounding the Beijing games in August. What’s more, Serge
is currently teaming up with Armani Exchange with a tour sponsorship
which includes cross promotions and store launches. He is working on an
Armani Exchange remix to be available in their retail outlets
throughout the United States. Serge’s talent has also earned the
respect of the industry’s most established artists.
Tiesto consistently
lists Serge Devant as one of his favorite DJ's in the world and Serge
has had the privilege to open for him regularly whenever he plays the
New York area. Additionally Serge will be appearing alongside Tiesto
throughout his US and Russian tours.
Whether at home in the US or abroad to catch Serge on stage is to
witness a skillful exhibition from one of the most promising young
talents in the industry today. His recordings are stylistically
diverse, transcending the boundaries of the genre; all adding up to a
hard-hitting, riveting but classically beautiful sound that is way more
than just electronic. So sit back and enjoy the ride. Welcome to the
music of Serge Devant.
