Symbiosis Gathering Features Swimming, Camping, and this Incredible Musical Lineup

May 20, 2015 - by Molly Sinclair

In case you missed it last week, Symbiosis Gathering released their lineup for their epic 10-year reunion music, yoga, and arts festival - and its absolutely fire.

With a talented collection of DJs and bands, Symbiosis features everything from far-out spectacles like Shpongle and Eoto to bass havens, most notably a back-to-back set from Minnesota and G Jones. For such a prominent event, some artists brought the whole ensemble, like Emancipator Ensemble and Damian Lazarus and the Ancient Moons. Future bass reigns with Coyote Kisses and Dimond Saints, while house heads J.Phlip and Justin Martin bring the dirty beats.

From the headliners, there are some special surprises in tow. UK producer Four Tet will play a 3-hour late night DJ set, while tUnE-yArDs will play a live show featuring "percussive loops with an electric bass and ukelele", along with a mesmerizing female vocalist. There are so many more impressive acts, but stand-outs include producer Nicolas Jaar, the legendary Dave Tipper, and Symbiosis veteran CocoRosie with tons of new material just for this show.

What's different about Symbiosis besides the epic lineup? There will be all-day swimming in the surrounding reservoir, dubbed "swimbiosis", which will be perfect to counteract the September heat. Some live artists and DJs will play beach-side sets so you can enjoy the music while you wade! Other highlights include theatrical exhibitions, yoga and dance classes, creative art installations and interactive games.

Symbiosis Gathering 2015 will take place September 17th - 20th at Woodward Reservoir in Northern California, a beautiful location for camping out. The weather is around 80 degrees in the day and 60 degrees at night - could it be any more perfect?!
