A Summer Camp Themed Music Festival: The Dirtybird Campout presented by The Do Lab

September 9, 2015 - by Molly Sinclair

Stop whatever you're doing.

Let's take a moment to remember summertime when you were a kid.

Whether you were at camp or not, the days were carefree and endless, since you weren't couped up in a job all day. Popsicles dripping down your arm, rolling around in grass, the smell of the barbecue at your neighbor's house.

Now let's switch gears, and take a moment to think about the last music festival you went to. Carefree and endless, right? That summer feeling, where nothing else matters...

What if I told you that the Do Lab and Dirtybird records are planning to combine these joyous feelings - of summer camp and music festival - into one giant rambunctious end of summer campout festival?!

Well guess what, now you can be one of the first people to ever experience it at the premier "Dirtybird Campout", a house music festival with 3 days of music, camp games, barbecuing, late night movies, a lake, yoga, comedy acts, a talent show and even more!

See end of article for General info and ticket details.

Lineup & Activites

The artists playing (your camp counselors) will be Dirtybird favorites Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, J. Phlip.... hell, just check out the incredible lineup below:

(How hilarious is this flier, by the way...)

As you can see, the bill is stacked with the hottest house heads in the game right now, and it seems like a jolly old time.

Taking place at Irvine Lake in Silverado, CA, the venue is sure to be intimate with plenty of familiar faces throughout the weekend, with stages and campgrounds close together, and tons of interactive activities.

It's also awesome that the tickets for the 3 day event are only $145 right now. That's a great price for a show that goes late into the night and provides plenty of art and fun in addition to the DJs spinning.

Do you need any other convincing?

General Info

Dirtybird Campout takes place October 2, 3, and 4 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA (between San Diego and Los Angeles). It is a 21+ event.

3 Day passes are currently on sale at this link. (They may release one-day passes closer to the show). Camping is included in the ticket but car camping must be purchased separately.

I'll see you at the campout - last one there's a rotten egg!
