John's highly anticipated second artist album "Z List Uber Star" was released on 29th September 2008. Early reactions from some of the material has been amazing - with Paul van Dyk hammering the title track and “Bored of You Bored of Me” in a great number of his sets in 2008 including his Essential mix from Coloursfest on BBC Radio 1. Tiesto, Eddie Halliwell and Above & Beyond also picked up on tracks "Fade to Black" and “Blue” which also became anthems of the summer in 2008.
July 2008 saw the release of "Discover 40" - a double CD album mixed and compiled by John Askew - featuring the best of the first 40 releases on his world renown Discover Records label.
2009 will see John’s new singles “F*cking Caps Lock” and “Vandalism” released on Discover.

John also produces with John O’Callaghan as CARTEL. Their debut singles “Buenos Aries" and "Moments” are available now on Armin's Captivating Sounds label and have been thoroughly thrashed by everyone including Armin van Buuren and Eddie Halliwell.
John is also a member of the live act DRUM CULT – featuring Zak Frost from Turbo records and drummer Mat Hayles. The band incorporates a variety of new and exciting electronic influences. Their debut single “Radio” was released in September 2007 on Dirt Crew Recordings. The massive DRUM CULT remix of “It’s up to You” by Sasse came out on Moodmusic in the same year.
As a dj, John continues his long standing residency at The Gallery where he can regularly be seen and heard rocking the dancefloor along side the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong and just about every other credible dj from the international circuit.
The last 18 months has seen John play prime time sets at some of the world’s coolest festivals including his banging set on the main stage at Nature One Festival in Germany – which was also broadcast live across the whole country on Sunshine Live Radio.
In the past 3 years John has played on all the far corners of the globe including: North America, Canada, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, Egypt, Germany, The Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, China, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Greece, Ukraine, Georgia, and of course all over the UK.
In September of 2007 John joined the PFA agency, home to a fine selection of the UKs hottest djs including Eddie Halliwell and John O’Callaghan.
