DJ Dan
DJ Dan Set To Release Debut Artist Album Future Retro On September 14

As DJ Dan celebrates his 20th year in the music industry, he joins Nettwerk to release his debut artist album FUTURE RETRO. Out September 14,Future Retro is a collection comprised of two vantage points: one looking back and paying homage to where electronic music has come from, and one looking to the future of where electronic music is going. It’s a culmination of all things great on the dance floor, fusing classic dance tracks with Dan's unique blend of funky driving electro…a musical journey that spans the past, present, and looks to the future, from Mr. Fingers to Phuture to Frankie Knuckles.

It’s no surprise considering DJ Dan’s epic fable through the realms of rave to the present day that he has amassed an extensive list of supporters. His riotous re-touch of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and masterful tweek of her latest single “Bad Romance” have lit up this year’s dance floors.

As if working with one of the world’s biggest names wasn’t enough, the next person to employ Dan’s talents needs no introduction. Adding some DJ Dan chic to her new single “Make Me,” the legend that is Janet Jackson beckoned the producer who can do no wrong. But don’t take their word for it; Depeche Mode, Groove Armada, Yoko Ono and New Order have all sought Dan’s track-making-tool-kit, which begins to read like a music industry hall of fame.

Check out DJ Dan & Uberzone’s “Operator” (f/t Blake Lewis), the latest single that will appear on Future Retro. Originally a number one hit on the Billboard R&B chart in 1985, Midnight Star’s funk-fuelled electro smash had a big influence on Dan in his early years, prompting the honoree retrospective reworking. Bunny (Rabbit In The Moon)
Raised in Tampa this Florida Trio, consisting of Confucius and the Monk, met up with the third member named Bunny in the summer of ‘92. The production duo,Confucius and The Monk, went on to create some of the most emotional electronic music, creating a sound all their own. They are resposible for original tracks such as “Out of body Experience” and “Deeper” as well as remixes for an array of artists, including Garbage, Orbital, Planet Soul, and probably most recognised for their remixes of Sarah McLachlan (“Fear & Possession”) and Goldie (“Inner City Life”). To date, they continue to provide the scene with quality electronic sounds and with their performance artist Bunny, a truly unforgettable live show. Rabbit In The Moons’ home base is Hallucination Studios in Tampa Florida, U.S.A.

Beyond his accredited mastery as a turntablist, Klever has developed a healthy reputation as “tomorrows dj”. Klever has established his name throughout the dj circuit for his crowd-roaring routines and mix sets. Being born and raised an ATLien, his signature style (on and off the decks) moves crowds in every direction from his roots of crunk, booty, and hip hop to the sweaty sounds of electro, dance-rock, b-more, new-wave, hard rock, and anything worthy to make you rock with finesse.

In the past 5 years, Klever has been performing his signature sets non-stop around the world (Taiwan, England, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Australia, Japan, etc). He consistently amazes crowds and party-goers from 60 to 60,000 at world renowned venues such as Miami’s Mansion, Amsterdam’s Paradiso, NYC’s Roxy and Irving Plaza, Fabric in London, and many more.

Klever is presently working on collaborative projects that encompass the street culture lifestyle through music art and fashion. Between touring nonstop and his dedicated lab time, Klever is the dj to watch.
