Trevor Simpson was bitten by
the entertainment and music bug early, buying his first set of
turntables at age 14. DJing and electronic music soon consumed his free
time and all of his energy. In 1997, Trevor founded Torque productions
clothing label and entertainment group in Boulder Colorado. Underground
dance music events, and fashions that mirrored this image, was the
focus of the company. In 1998 Trevor relocated to San Francisco to
attend USF and study Business Marketing. Torque productions became a
prominent player in the San Francisco underground dance music scene
producing countless massive events and solid club nights. During the
summer of 2001, Trevor accepted a position as Promotions and Marketing
director for Coolword, and helped produce the sold out Cyberfest 2001
with over 20,000 music lovers in attendance. Later that year Trevor
joined the promotion team at KYLD, Wild 94.9. He became very active
with House Nation, the station’s dance music program, frequently mixing
live and conducting interviews. After a year at KYLD, Trevor accepted
the roll of Promotion Director and Mix-Show Coordinator at KPTI, the
Bay Area’s first pure dance music radio station. After riding the wave
of ownership changes on the frequency, Trevor has now settled in at
Energy 92.7 as Mix-Show Coordinator and Late Night On-Air Personality.
Trevor also plays weekly on Thump Radio (KBIG 104.3) in Los Angeles
and. Despite his young age, this House Music Veteran (10 Years behind
the decks) is San Francisco's lone front man in exposing the new
generation of clubbers to the essence of House Music. His spirited leap
from the rave/underground scene to San Francisco's most prestigious
clubs, as well as major market radio, has been unparalleled by any of
his peers. One exposure to his gimmick free flawless mixing and dirty
stompy beats laced with uplifting soulful vocals, will illustrate the
full picture of this Fresh Young Superstar. Over 100,000 people
worldwide are enjoying his first two internationally distributed "Pure
Dance Party" and “Club America” CDs and fans in eight cities tune in to
him weekly on Thump Radio. Trevor has also been commissioned to do
remixes with partner Dimitris Mykonos for Anna Vissi and Plummet
amongst a slew of others. Consequently Mixed Elements, Surreal SF,
Pleasure Zone, KNGY Energy 92.7 FM and hundreds of young clubbers have
