The last year and a half has been absolutely massive for Dennis Ferrer with a Grammy Nomination for his remix of Dido’s “Don’t Believe in Love”, as well as nominations for “Best House Artist” and “Best House Track” for “Hey Hey” at this year’s Beatport Music Awards. Dennis also won “Best Deep House Artist” at the 2009 BMA’s and took home the International Dance Music Award - IDMA - for “Best Underground Track” for “Hey Hey”. Along with these accolades, he has received worldwide acclaim from the press and house music enthusiasts alike. As always with Ferrer, the best is yet to come. With a deep knowledge of the past and a constant push for the future, Ferrer remains one of the true greats of house music - a leader and innovator who enjoys the buzz around him but continues to push the limits.
“Right place, right time.” It's an old cliché, but it's one that has defined Dennis Ferrer's musical career. Just as the dance music world was heading into the world of afro-centric house, Ferrer was there. When it began to embrace the mix of tech and soul, Ferrer was there again, leading the way with his impeccable productions. As Ferrer goes, it seems, so does electronic music. As someone who's never content to do the same thing twice, it's clear that he'll be staying on top for years to come.
Dennis Ferrer has had a long history in Toronto playing at Boogie Inc. & milk. events at hotspots all over the city. Many of DF’s devoted Toronto fans missed his last DJ appearance at Century Room because it was on a Tuesday night. They have been waiting patiently for him to come back ever since... We are happy to announce that the wait is OVER!!
The good vibes, beautiful smiling faces, and glorious house music at Sunnyside this summer have been unforgettable so far. Kenny Dope kicked off the season, followed by JoJo Flores & Miguel Migs, then the Roxy Reunion with local legends and our most recent event with The Martinez Brothers for the Boogie Inc. 5 Year Anniversary which was nothing short of EPIC!!!
Now we get to do it all over again under the sun, moon and stars with house music visionary, DENNIS FERRER! Get your cameras ready and keep your dancing shoes close to the front door... this is gonna be one for the history books!!!
