Dj Romanowski aka Roman Weingartner is a San Francisco legend, born and rased in Basel and Zurich, Switzerland he later immigrated to SF in 1989.
Roman has rocked shows locally and world wide with Dj Shadow, Cut Chemist, Z-Trip and the legendary San Francisco Future Primitive crew. He's an extremely diverse DJ, with roots in funk, disco, reggae, and hiphop, and his own production work has won world-wide acclaim. His 'Party in My Pants' album and recent studio albums with Walter Earl as Royal Earl, and local MC's Deuce Eclipse and P.E.A.C.E. on the O.P.C. project, showcase his desire to further the underground hiphop & funk movement in the Bay Area.
He's worked with such notable talent as The Sugar Hill Gang, Little Louie Vega, RJD2, Greyboy, Farina, Tommy Guerrero, Poets of Rythm, Sly and the Family Stone, Fred Wesley, The Meters, Doze of the Rock Steady Crew and many more.
His work has brought him Hong Kong, Tokyo, Hamburg, Zurich, Berlin and all over the world and back to the bay, LA to NYC
