Quentin Harris (Un-Restricted Access, Strictly Rhythm - NYC)

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Quentin grew up in a musical household. At age five, he taught himself to play piano and soon moved on to playing trumpet. In high school, he took on other instruments such as baritone and drums. After graduation Quentin decided to pursue a career in musical education but when that didn't work out he met the people that would soon change his life. DJ's Mike Huckaby and Mike "The Funky Honky" Clarke influenced him into becoming an artist/producer. So he embarked on a career in Hip-Hop. He made the local rounds accompaning such (then un-signed) artists as Slum Village, Eminem, and members of D12. He then went on to form his own group of nine MC's, Da Bio Chemist which he produced. Quentin began working with Michael J. Powell, who produced Anita Baker's Grammy Award winning albums, as a drum programmer and keyboardist. He eventually moved to New York to become DJ/ Producer of the Hip-Hop group, The Masterminds. They went on a national tour in 1999 promoting their album, "The Underground Railroad". After the tour, Quentin left the group to become an independent producer and DJ. He eventually hooked up with Marvin Howell an A&R with BMG which led to remix work with such major label artists such as Shakira. In 2000, he began a working relationship with Timmy Regisford of Club Shelter which has led to numerous remix projects. Quentin's remixes of Donnie's Rocketship& Cloud 9 put him in the spotlight. He has since done various remixes for artists Patti Labelle, Blaze & Jason Walker among others. Hes also produced his own original works Traveling with Cordell McClarey and The Episodes EP. He is currently working on new tracks with Cordell McClarey, Robert Owens & Ultra Nate, Dancehall artist, Shaggy as well as his own album. When not producing Quentin travels as a DJ, recently doing parties in Toronto, Montreal, London, Wales, Athens as well as Club Shelter in New York.
