On Thursday, April 2nd The.Muna.Group and Lara
Brasil present “Masquerada”, a modern Venetian styled event taking place at
Harlot. The masquerade is headlined by the gorgeous DJ Colette and will be
opened by local SF hero, Andrew Phelan. With the smooth beats of Colette
infusing the air and the faces of guests hidden in a sea of anonymity, all bets
are off as to what the night may contain. This will be a night of new
encounters holding endless possibilities for enjoyment.
Harlot will be coated in plush feathers and ornamental masks, melting fantasy
into reality. The elusiveness of the masks will add a juicy dimension of play
to the party. Wear your finest mask and conceal your true colors; this is your
night to be someone else.
Attend wearing your own mask and get in free with line priority list! 50 Masks will also be given out to select
guests at the event! Be sure to ask for one before they are all gone!

About the DJs:
Colette (
J Colette is one of the first DJs to add her vocals to the
record she spins, inspiring a new category of performance in the electronic
world. As countless others begin to sing and spin, many can still not compare
to the vocal/turntable sessions Colette delivers. How many singing DJs combine
up-close observation of the legendary Derrick Carter and Mark Farina dating

With her disarming doe eyes and a heartwarming demeanor, Colette possesses the
unmistakable voice of post-millennial house music. Her sweet-but-sultry voice
has been called “angelic” so many times, it’s a miracle she hasn’t grown wings:
Imagine a less breathy Kylie Minogue merged with a more controlled Roisin
Murphy (Moloko) and you have a good grasp on her classy voice that highlights
any beat that flows behind it. Whereas in the late 80s, the diva reigned
supreme and made the music cower, Colette has kept it deliciously simple and
always melodic, making the former choirgirl-cum-Chicago-house-siren a mainstay
of modern dance music.
