At the young age of 23, JReal is fast becoming one of San Diego's
hottest and genuine House DJs. With his sexy groovy "tech-progressive"
house style, precise music selection, and energetic mixing, he moves the
crowd to his beat of the drum while educating them on "true" house
music.
He discovered his passion for music at an early age. He
learned to read and write music as well as play the piano at the age of
10. During his childhood, he grew up in almost every city from Los
Angeles to San Diego, exposing him to an array of musical genres. From
Jazz, Hip Hop, and Reggae, to Rock n Roll and Classical. He understood
that music is more than a compilation of sweet sounds, but a way of life
that reaches each person differently deep down in the soul.
His aspirations as a dj to play music in every part of the world came by
watching superstars such as Fedde Le Grand, Erick Morillo, Carl Cox,
Judge Jules, & Pete Tong. He found himself wanting to explore the
vast world of Electronic music. His new-found love grows each and every
day as he works to develop and perfect his unique style.
His
official DJ debut began in January 2009 but took flight in March 2010,
when he dropped an unforgettable headline set at INVASION SD, an
underground electronic music massive. Since then he has successfully
launched "The JReal House Vibe," an intimate experience into the
defining sounds of house music. With successful shows at Fluxx, Sway, On
Broadway, Red Circle, Stingaree, The W Hotel, AC Lounge, U-31, Oynx,
Thin, Se Hotel, Sapphire Ultra Lounge, Airr, Ivy, Posh Bar, Hard Rock
Hotel (SD), 4th & B, Heat Ultra Lounge (OC), Sutra (OC), Spin, Luna
(Pomona), and House of Blues (SD) JReal is breaking ground and lighting
the way for San Diego's up-and-coming House Movement.
At the
moment, JReal is a new resident dj for Fluxx, voted best new nightclub
in the nation in 2011. He has had the opportunity to open for Moguai
(Mau5trap Records) as well as house legend, Erick Morillo (Subliminal
Records). JReal has also played alongside Tiesto and Porter Robinson at
the San Diego Sports Arena during their College Invasion Tour in 2011.
JReal is currently working hard in his studio to release his first track
with EV Music. This summer, he will launch the ‘JReal House Vibe’
Podcast, a bi-weekly podcast showcasing the very best in house music.
2012 holds a world of new opportunities for JReal and he is ready to
face them head on.
Like every great DJ, who would he be without
a little help from his friends. Tim Ortiz & Matty Allison of
Eventivibe and EV Music, Nate Khouli of Damascus Media, Carlo Arvizu of
House Junkie, DJ's StirCrazy and Don Santino, and his long time friend
Gilbert Araiza of Resident Muzik are among the many people who have
guided and supported him through all his achievements. With his humble,
genuine, and hard working attitude, JReal is setting the bar for djs
musically and socially. He is the face of the new era in House Music and
is here to show San Diego a new caliber of "DJ."he new era in House
